Welcome to my 365 Project! Actually, BOTH my 365 Projects. See, I'm going to take a photo and a self portrait everyday of 2010, starting on Jan 1 2010. Then, at the end of the project, I'm going to have two books made to show me what I did and who i was in 2010!

Jan 12 2010

Photo #12: So tonight Jeremy, Nate, Dustin and I decided it would be a good idea to ramp Jeremy's Blazer onto an un-plowed street. Depending on your perspective, this idea was either really dumb... or REALLY AWESOME! We couldn't get ourselves out, then a gentleman in an old Ford f150 couldn't get us out. So finally we called Poppa Lato and he came and saved the day in the beastly Jeep. Victory!

Portrait #12: It was quite the evening. I want to try it in the Splash next. I bet I would just drive on top of the snow too!

Jan 11 2010

Photo #11: Space Shuttle print #2 to be framed, this time by my grandparents rather than the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce. Looks rather spiffy.

Portrait #11: Me raiding the fridge. I'm ALWAYS HUNGRY! But I accidentally ate Sutton and Reagan's soup that they were going to have for lunch the next day. In my defense, neither can said "Do Not Eat" like the food I can't have is usually labeled...

Jan 10 2010

Photo #10:This photo is of by far the coolest button ever. Given to me by my wonderful boss, Zee, who has decided to pass it on to me from her years of hussie-ness. I think it suits me better. I also plan on never removing it.

Portrait #10: Another photo from Lincoln, from the other side of 12 o'clock. Honestly, I can't even think what to say about this portrait. Let's just say it was one of my many "special" moments.

Jan 9 2010

Photo #9: Dustin and I went to Lincoln today to see some of the people we hadn't seen over break because of weather. Shenanigans were participated in. A car got covered in snow. Quite the night. Here's Dustin wearing a spiffy pair of 3D glasses from the movie Avatar.

Portrait #9: Here's me, shoveling snow...again. For real, how much snow do we need here? if we could turn snow into energy, we could power the planet from right here in Nebraska. Oh well, cold or not, I still look rather dashing in my ave's, don't you think?

Jan 8 2010

Photo #8: Photo of Kylie and her cat after we played some serious laser tag. I managed to piss off the cat in something like 7 seconds flat. I don't know what it is, but cats just scream "Throw me, throw me!" to me. And some cats don't like playing Simba from the Lion King, where the baboons holding him out to the kingdom.

Portrait #8: And me, after aforementioned laser tag and cat angering...

Jan 7 2010

Photo #7: Display I put together at work. It shows some excellent wine and chocolate combinations along with a brief explination of how to pair chocolates and certain wines. It looks rather spiffy if you ask me.

Portrait #7: My final print for my color wheel in my Color Photography class. This little bugger took me a solid 2 days to get right, spread out over like 4 days thanks to the weather. I should have created the image in direct sunlight, not indoors with the lights off. That would have made it like 12 times easier. But I like the image, so it was worth it.

Jan 6 2010

Photo #6: My little sister Reagan and I had a bonding day today, since Mom and Dad were both at work, Colin was being a pain, and there was a blizzard in progress. She went with me to run my errands (bank), and then we went and got some lunch. Afterwards she went with me out to the photo lab and played on the computer while I got some work done. All in all, a fun day for the both of us. My little princess is growing up WAY to fast... next thing you know, she'll have boys going after her. Not much of a problem though, considering she has 3 older brothers AND a military father.

Portrait #6: I'm so ashamed... I can't find my portrait for today. SO, as a self punishment for my lack of organization, I offer the world this image... I'm so ashamed...

Jan 5 2010

Sorry for the delay with my 365, the weather lately has kind of thrown me for a loop. Summer cant come fast enough...

Photo #5: Image of my first color balanced contact sheet ever. Color printing has taken some getting used too, and I've found that I see the world in a slightly yellow shade, which means my prints seem to come out just a tad too yellow. But I'm getting better at it, so practice makes perfect.

Portrait #5: Digital negative for my Experimental Photography class. Created using a flatbed scanner and processed through Photoshop. Digital negatives are rather fun to process, they allow for quite the range in creative change.

Jan 4 2010

Photo #4: This is my dog, Dakota. Worst guard-dog ever. She loves everyone! Worst thing that would happen to an intruder is that she wouldn't leave them alone until they... well, she wouldn't. She might if you scratched her behind the ear a little, but she would most likely come back for more...

Portrait #4: Sitting on the couch. Just got home from my first day back to class after winter break, the slowest day at work ever, a failed attempt at being productive at the photo labs (not my fault, the water wouldn't temp), and realizing the movie Jennifer's Body is no where near worth watching, Megan Fox or not. Quite the day...

Jan 3 2010

Photo #3: Photograph of my new(er) Bronica Medium Format camera. This camera is my baby, its freaking fantastic to use. I am a HUGE slacker though, considering this photo was taken at 11:56pm on Jan 3. Four minutes before the day was over...

Portrait #3: So Jeremy, Dustin, Sara, and I all wen to see Sherlock Holmes tonight. Good movie, but what was even better was the fact that we passed not one, not two, but three John Deere tractors just chillin (no pun intended) within two blocks of each other. We tried to catch the one at the gas station, but alas, picking up Sara from her house took too much time. I also had to use my camera phone, because I didn't have any of my babies...

Jan 2 2010

Photo #2: Sara and Clara were decided that it was much easier to ignore me while I was taking photos than it was to actually pose. I think that the smiles in this photo show just how happy these two are when they're together... either that or it was a REALLY funny text.

Portrait #2: Took this while Sara and I made chicken soup from scratch. It was pretty awesome soup. But Sara put in too many potatoes...

Jan 1 2010

Photo #1. Had to take it with my phone because my camera batteries were dead! Driving home from Lincoln after New Years.

Portrait #1: Driving home at about 11:50pm on Jan 1 and I realized I wanted to do a 365 project with self portraits also. And with my camera at home, I had to resort to my camera phone for the second time today...

I'm A Little Behind...

...on here with my 365 project, but Erica V. pushed really hard for me to follow people, so I might as well make a blog... But i HAVE been vigilant about my 365 project so far, as seen on my flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/boexphotography

In fact, I've been SO vigilant and awesome that I am doing not one, but TWO 365 projects, one of photos and one of self portraits. So HA!
